Is Ancelotti Running out of time ?

Carlo Ancelotti's Chelsea are going from bad to worse, languishing in fifth place and  with there Premier League hopes all but over, last years champions are really on a downward spiral and following  last nights humiliating defeat to an out of sorts and struggling Everton side on penalty's eliminating them from the FA.Cup, there only realistic hope of silverware this season is now the Uefa Champions League, yet with teams like Barcelona,Real Madrid and Premier league rivals Spurs and Manchester United still in the competition even that now looks unlikely, and as a result has seen many Chelsea fan's begin to call for the Italians head.
So what is to blame for the demise of this star studded Chelsea team.

Is it lack of investment?

After splashing out hundreds of millions of pounds during the Ranieri and Mourinho era's, Roman Abramovic seemed happy with the side he had created and Chelsea continued to succeed winning various titles along the way, however in recent seasons Abramovic refused to back the manager with the necessary funds to challenge and as a result with the club unable to challenge at the top of the Premier League and struggling to make it to a Champions League final his hand was forced and in January his hand was forced and he invested heavily in signing Fernando Torres from Premier League Rival's Liverpool and Brazilian international defender David Luiz From Benfica in Portugal for a Combined Fee of seventy million pounds.
But is it now to late to save Ancelotti?

Was it The Mysterious Sacking of Ray Wilkins?

Ray Wilkins exit from the bridge has  clearly had a lasting effect on many of the players, since his departure things have taken a drastic turn for the worse.
Wilkins was known to be heavily involved in the taking of the training sessions within the club and was highly respected by the players, however this wasn't enough to save Wilkins and he was relived of his duties by club chairman Roman Abramovic.
Wilkins helped Ancelotti a lot both personally and tactically and was a massive reason behind the success in the Italians first season with the London club.
Chelsea's form has seen them slip down the league and be eliminated from both the FA and Carling Cups, since the departure of Wilkins, which now begs the question was the right man sacked?

Or Has Mr Ancelotti Lost the plot?
Carlo Ancelotti's arrival at Stamford Bridge was one of the most anticipated moves in world football, and for many seemed to pay off during his first season in charge. This was backed up with the blue's table topping performance's and eventual Premier League win.
With Drogba Terry And Lampard all playing pivotal role's in the club's success. many tried but failed to overthrow Chelsea at the top of the table many beaten convincingly along the way.
Chelsea continued there fine form at the beggining of this season beating the likes of West Brom and Wigan 6-0.
however since the sacking of Ray Wilkins Chelsea seem to have pressed the self destruct button and are falling at every hurdle. formations and player selections have left many fan's scratching there head's and the likes of Drogba have been on the bench, even club captian John Terry has been told his place in the side is no longer safe.

Will he run back to Italy?

Rumour has it that Roma want to save Ancelotti from his now English nightmare,so will he jump before he is pushed?

Crawley Town Dare To Dream

CRAWLEY TOWN DARE TO DREAM

Crawley Town football club will enter the footballing folk law, should they manage to pull off the impossible on Saturday night. They are traveling to Old Trafford to play Manchester United with everyone already writing them off, and why shouldn't they write them off here are some comparisons between the two sides.

CRAWLEY TOWN
Based in Sussex Crawley Town play in the Conference league and face weekly trips to the likes of Bath City, Forest Green Rovers and Luton.
They play in the modest Broadfield Stadium which holds just under 5,000 people.but on average only pull in 1,000 fans to games.
There highest paid player earns around 1,000 pounds a week and the club has recently received backing from some unknown investors in Hong Kong.
There most recent successes have come in the Sussex senior cup and the Southern League Championship, and they have already pulled off some shock results by beating Derby County,Swindon Town and Torquay United to get this far in the FA cup.

MANCHESTER UNITED

One of the biggest clubs in the world, playing in arguably the best league in the world.
they play at Old Trafford and have a weekly turn out of 75,000 fans to watch them play.
many great players have played for Manchester United including the likes of David Beckham,Roy Keane and Eric Cantona and more recently the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo,Carlos Tevez and Wayne Rooney.
There highest paid player earns 250,000 pounds a week, and they boast one of the best records in football with numerous Premier league wins, Champions League wins, FA and Carling Cups.

NOW THINGS THEY DO HAVE IN COMMON
Both clubs are nicknamed the Red Devils, due to their red strips.
They are also helped financially by foreign investors, and both managed by a fierce Scotsman.

MY PREDICTION
MANCHESTER UNITED 3 -0 CRAWLEY TOWN

Great Premier League Goals

Wayne Rooney's goal against Manchester City last weekend has been heralded as one of the greatest goals in Premier League history.
Over the years the British public and worldwide audience that the league attracts have been privileged to see hundreds of great goals and magical moments.

The question is what makes this one so special?

after months of speculation regarding the strikers future at the club and if his heart was still with Manchester United,Rooney singed a new contract and had been in bad form ever since, however in recent weeks he slowly regained his form and 'found his shooting boots' as some would say then the inevitable happened when it mattered most in the Manchester derby he stepped up and produced one of the greatest goals many of us will have seen in a long time.

But is it the greatest goal in Premier League history? thats for you to decide.

Here are a few of my personal favorites hope you enjoy!

Tony Yeboah's goal for Leeds United against Wimbledon.

Dennis Bergkamp's goal for Arsenal against Newcastle United

Alan Shearer's goal for Newcastle against Everton

Thierry Henry's goal for Arsenal against Manchester United

and finally that man again Wayne Rooney against Newcastle
